There is a quote I love that goes:
"There are things we see and things we don't see, and in between there are the doors".
I've always had a fascination for doors; these icons of transition.
Here are a few of my favorites.

  1. I love your entry! Good luck!
    ...and I like your doors.

  2. Oooh I love doors too - I must 'borrow' your idea and add a few of my own finds in a blog - perhaps we could start a round robin of portal goodies!

    Kate :-)

  3. I also love photos of doors and windows! During my travels, many pictures of doors and windows have been taken! Your post made me want to dig those out and do something with them!! :)
    Thanks for the great post!

  4. I'm always happy to share ideas. I love the idea of the Round Robin, Kate.
Cindy, it seems the best doors are always in a differant part of the world than where you are. Most of these were taken in England.

  5. i found your blog through carla's and this post is just fabulous!! i have a love for doors as well, intricate ones, colorful ones, grid ones, hehe!!

  6. Thanks for the lovely comment you left! Your blog is wonderful, I've had a great time reading through your posts :) I love a good door too, especially the old wooden ones, they must have so many tales to tell ;)

  7. I love these pictures, they are so evocative. Thanks so much for your comment and becoming a follower of my blog - your profile picture is magical!

  8. I adore this post! Get it...a-door? haaaaaaaaaa I think I'm so funny! Seriously, though, I think they are fantastic pictures. I've found myself looking for the amazing in the everyday around me and wishing I had a camera to snap it and keep it and play with it. Your doors are great snaps and great play and great amazing in the everyday. :) Thanks!!! jen
